Child development worries

Who to contact if you think your child is not developing appropriately.

Children are individuals and do not develop at the same time or way. You can check in the first instance with your health visitor or GP about any worries you have about your child.  They would be able to refer you to a specialist should this be necessary.

Your child may go to pre-school groups and you may be able to air your concerns there.

Pre-school teacher counsellors can be contacted if you have worries about motor skills, poor communication and developmental delay.
